Andrew Velazquez, M.D. FAAO is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Alabama Vision Center, serving patients in Birmingham. Dr. Velazquez specializes in LASIK vision correction, cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, IOL surgery, and corneal transplantation.
Dr. Velazquez has served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Director of Cornea and External Disease, and Director of Refractive Surgery at The Callahan Eye Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Clinical Assistant at the Eye Hospital.
Dr. Velazquez and his wife spend their time raising their two daughters. He is also a triathlete who enjoys swimming, cooking, golfing, and biking.
