Andrew Bartlett, MD, FAAO, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in blade-free all laser custom LASIK vision correction, "no stitch" cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange with bifocal implants, and corneal transplantation surgery. Born and raised in Birmingham, Dr. Bartlett attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine before completing his residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He then continued his training with a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Eye Consultants of Atlanta.
Currently, Dr. Bartlett educates students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry with recurring lectures and speaking engagements. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Bartlett joined Alabama Vision Center upon graduating his fellowship in 2016, and is proud to provide the citizens of Birmingham and surrounding areas with the highest level of surgical and clinical care.
Dr. Bartlett and his wife have a son who keeps them busy, and is a true joy. They enjoy spending time on the lake, and playing with their dog, Harvey. All three are avid Alabama Football fans. Additionally, Dr. Bartlett enjoys playing basketball and golf in his spare time.
